Falafelinberlin.de
Skalitzerstr. 102

The best, freshest falafel in Berlin, only €3.
If possible, make friends with someone who has a vegetable garden allotment!
Vegan seems to be the latest hipster trend which is not such a bad thing. Plenty of vegan listings cropping up, like this one: www.berlin-vegan.de
I do mostly make my coffee at home, but here is a supposedly comprehensive guide of the 3rd wave of coffee places in Berlin.
My preferred coffee in Kreuzberg is currently D’Espresso, Manteuffelstr. 100. The Brownies are also excellent.
Eis (ice cream) always helps. When in Graefe-Kiez, definitely go to Eis Manufaktur (they have other outlets too).
For excellent, homey German (actually more Austrian) Knödel and other delicious hearty fare, go to Café Obermaier at Erkelenzdamm 17, just near Kottbusser Damm.
The closest organic (Bio) shop is literally around the corner, only 1 min walk. Herr Buschmann, Smetanastr. 5, has a fabulous, ever-so-slightly-pricey range of everything.
A little bit further to walk (10 mins) is denn's BioMarkt in Bizetstraße 17-19, a fancy supermarket of endless organic delights.
bio = organic
And 10 mins by bike is Alnatura at Greifswalderstr. 89 which has a comprehensive and possibly better value range, again all organic although not necessarily slimming.
kreuzberg is on the other side of town
Bauerngarten is a fabulous community vegetable gardening scheme. They have planned and super organised planting in a big wheel.

I'm yet to find the best pizza, but Caramello is pretty nearby, super-thin crusts, fresh and the coffee's not bad either.

Feels like Melbourne:
Suicide Sues, Dunckerstrasse 2
Most pretentious (but actually pretty damn good):
Bonanza Coffee Heroes, Oderberger Strasse 35
Frieda's Glück, Lindenallee 55. My local café is 3 minutes walk, totally charming, laidback and does good coffee, big breakfasts and other food.

Berliner Fischmarkt is only 10 mins away by bike. The house specialty is a delicious bargain 3.50 Euro fish soup.

Laauma café Sonntagstraße 26, the most healthily unusual menu, 100 % vegan, with an emphasis on raw ingredients and superfoods.
